Around the end of October, you see that many clothing brands make a big shift in their stores. The summer items are really gone and the windows are provided with a large dose of glitter. This time of year is again the time to shop for the holidays. The outfits are pulled out of the closet a few times until New Year's Eve, but then quickly end up at the back of the closet and then not brought out for months. A shame, if you ask us. You can still wear those fun party items for a few more months.
How do you wear party items the rest of the year?
Let's start by saying that as far as we're concerned, you can wear your Christmas glitter dress all year round. Party or not. Do you think this is a bit too extra for the office or during a brunch with friends, but do you also think it's a shame to only wear your party items in December? Downgrade it is. By making a few adjustments, you can easily wear those sequin pants or glitter dress a few extra months per year.

Downgrading your party look
For example, combine an oversized sweater with glitter pants, put on that feather dress under an oversized blazer and swap your heels for biker boots and wear a metallic blazer with baggy jeans instead of pants. You can also mix your glittering outfits with other striking prints such as leopard or zebra. Then also add a bright color that you don't necessarily wear at Christmas et voilà : you have a completely different look while you reuse your party items in a fun way.
