Lofty Manner is a boutique brand with a new collection every month in a limited edition. We guarantee not only exclusivity, but also uniqueness because every collection consists of new prints and designs, which inspire women to truly be themselves. Our ambition: to sustainably expand our brand in Europe with selective distribution and a limited edition.

Function

As Head of Design, it is your job to create a commercial and creative plan for each new collection as a starting point for the designers. In the plan, you take into account the pre-sales and resale results, but also new developments in the market. In this way, you are partly responsible for the continuous success and growth of the brand.

What are you going to do?

As Head of Design, you are an expert in all facets of the design process. Your technical drawings and style sheets are worked out down to the last detail and no detail escapes you. With your creative eye and technical knowledge, you support and guide the design and development team, so that the quality of the collections is guaranteed and everything is neatly delivered to production.

Activities:

• Guiding and coaching the design and development team
• Ensuring that the latest trends are implemented convincingly and commercially.
• Ensuring consistent collections that are commercially successful and in line with our brand values;
• Margin, quality, fit and delivery time of both samples and bulk productions
• To track and analyze the pre-sales and resale results and to act on them when necessary
• Actively analyze orders during the sales season, define gaps and weak areas in the collection
• Manage and control department budgets
• The overall sourcing strategy and supplier
• Ensure that designs meet quality standards, price points and sustainability goals;
• Lead weekly team meetings, plan agendas and set priorities
• Visiting fabric suppliers

Profile:

• You have an HBO working and thinking level
• Experience with a Ladies Wholesale Brand is a must
• You have an excellent knowledge of fabrics, design and processes and experience with travelling to suppliers
• You have completed a degree in Fashion Design or a related field;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role (Head Of Design) within the fashion industry;
• You have a clear vision and can translate this into strategy
• You are able to think outside the box and act accordingly
• You are structured and organized
• Strong personality combined with excellent communication skills
• You think in possibilities and are proactive
• Good command of the Dutch and English language
